The Leadership Institute will include three alumni keynote speakers this year, all of whom have tremendous leadership experience and knowledge. One is a corporate CEO, another is a former human resources executive who has written a book on leadership, and the last is a community relations and public affairs executive for an energy company.
Bob Bloom, Hartwick ’71 – Bob serves as the President and CEO of ColorTyme, Inc., the nation’s oldest rent-to-own company based in Dallas, Texas. His past experience has included stints in executive positions within Ponderosa Steakhouse and EZcorp. Allen Fore, Eureka ’86 – Allen serves as the Director of Community Relations for Kinder Morgan, one of the largest pipeline transportation and energy storage companies in North America with approximately 37,000 miles of pipelines and 180 terminals. Prior to joining Kinder Morgan, Allen worked for Fleishman-Hilliard Public Relations as a Vice President in its St. Louis office and was a political consultant. He currently serves on the Delta Sigma Phi Foundation’s Board of Trustees.
Doug Gehrman, Arizona State ’59 – Doug has worn many hats in his career, working for a number of companies and institutions. Most recently, he has served as an Assistant Professor at Houston Baptist University teaching classes on Humane Resoures and Leadership. Prior to that role, he served as the Executive VP of Human Resources for Van Kampen Funds, and held numerous other leadership positions in energy companies throughout his career. He has written a book entitled Leadership for Life – Your Guide to Becoming a Transformational Leader.
