Facilitators and attendees discussed the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. “I Have Dream” speech, and talked about how he was able to create a movement through not only his words, but also the way in which he spoke and created the vision that others were able to follow. While his vision wasn’t immediately recognized and acted upon, eventually, the change he had hoped for was initiated thanks to his perseverance.
A quote that was shared to close the evening – Change “It takes 5% of a population to create a movement. It takes 20% of a population to create an unstoppable force.”
